Phyllis A. (Dlugiewicz) Vozniak, 85, of Perrysburg, formerly of Saginaw, Michigan, a loving mother, grandmother and friend passed away Friday, May 28, 2021. Phyllis was born on June 3, 1935 in Toledo, Ohio to Ted and Martha (Wielinski) Dlugiewicz. A graduate of Central Catholic High School, Phyllis worked in the office of Swint Insurance Agency. In 1960, she met Donald F. Vozniak through mutual friends at a PNA bowling tournament. Phyllis married Donald, her beloved husband of 41 years, on October 21, 1961. Donald preceded her in death on May 17, 2003. Phyllis had a passion for baking. When her children were young, she took cake decorating classes and started making their birthday cakes. Over the years she made cakes for birthdays, weddings, and retirements. She was known for her sugar cookies and her 3,000 cookie cutters. Where some people read novels, Phyllis read/collected cookie cookbooks—with family and friends reaping the rewards from her joy of baking. She was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Saginaw and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council (#4232) Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and with her children and grandchildren. Surviving Phyllis are daughter, Ann Marie (Thomas) Jablonowski, Perrysburg, Ohio; son, Gregory (Louise) Vozniak, Auburn, Michigan; grandchildren, Krysten Jablonowski, Michael (Megan) Jablonowski, Veronica Vozniak, and Jack Vozniak; sister-in-law Rosemarie (Robert) Norrick-Urash, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Patricia Dlugiewicz, and sister-in-law Christine (Vozniak) Smith. Visitation will take place at St. Rose Catholic Church in Perrysburg beginning at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2021, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. with Fr. Kishore Kottana officiating. Family will accompany Phyllis to Saginaw, Michigan for entombment in St. Andrew Cemetery Thursday, June 3. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at The Lakes of Monclova for the care and love they showed Phyllis. They are also thankful for the support and care they and Phyllis received from Heartland Hospice—especially nurse Kathy who kept Mom close via social media during the pandemic. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Helping Hands of St. Louis (Toledo), Heartland Hospice, or the charity of their choice. Arrangements by Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, Maumee and condolences may be shared with the family at walkerfuneralhomes.com
