Phyllis J. Skaggs, 79, of Helena, Ohio, died at her residence, Wednesday afternoon, August 28, 2013. She was born May 20, 1934, in Woodville, Ohio, to Darel and Stella Hutton. On January 5, 1959, in Quincey, Kentucky, she married Ora Skaggs and he survives. Phyllis was a housewife, a great wife, mother and grandmother. She was an avid bowler and had bowled in leagues in Clay Center and Woodville. Phyllis was a former member of the Shrine of Toledo. Years ago she had worked at the former Felbingers and Whitehouse in Genoa. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Ora, children, Oralane Robert Hays of Genoa, Charles Nancy Skaggs of Lorain, Jacky June Skaggs of Woodville, Violet Tom Redrup of Indian River, MI, Judith Dusseau of Genoa, Ronald Lisa Skaggs of Bradner and Donald Dawn Skaggs of Gibsonburg; 38 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, sons, Edward and Tommy Skaggs and siblings, Mick and Jim Hutton and Doris Bickers. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Friday, August 30, 2013, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, where the funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 31, 2013. A graveside service will take place in Mawk Cemetery, Vanceburg, Kentucky, 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 3, 2013.
