Phyllis M. Sass

Phyllis Mary (Lapinski) Sass of Perrysburg passed away on Thursday, Dec 9th, 2021 at Kingston Residence of Perrysburg. She was born to Walter and Mary (Zurawski) Lapinski in Toledo, Ohio on Jan 23,1932. Phyllis spent her married life taking care of her family. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, canning and cooking. She made many traditional Polish and German dishes. She loved being a Bushia and devoted much of her time to her only two grandchildren from the day they were born. Phyllis was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband Gerald of 68 years and infant son Michael. Siblings Richard, Robert, Walter Jr, Edward, Leonard, Geraldine Cessna and Thomas. She is survived by her children Dennis (Teri), Karen (Bill) Hunter, Evelyn (Rich) Kovalich and Bruce Sass. Grandchildren Dwayne Hunter and Erin (Dominic) Sorgenfrei. Phyllis was a member of St Rose church. The Family request in lieu of flowers to consider donations to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation or to the Way Public Library. A graveside service was held at St. Rose Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, Perrysburg (419-874-3133).
