Phyllis A. Robel, 81, of Port Clinton died Monday, January 28, 2008, in the Toledo Hospital. She was born October 30, 1926, in Elyria, OH to Franklin J. and Sarah F Pershing Koerber. On May 25, 1957 in Marblehead, OH she married the love of her life Richard Robel, who preceded her in death in 2002. For 28 years Phyllis worked as a lab technician for Memorial Hospital in Sandusky. She would later work 8 years for the Sandusky Co. Hospital, where she retired in January of 1984. Phyllis was a member of the LaPointe United Methodist Church in Port Clinton. She was also a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 267 in Port Clinton, the Ladies Shrine in Toledo, the Mothers Club, the Moose Lodge Chapter 281, 0and AMT Registration an organization to be a registered technician. Phyllis loved painting including oil painting and China painting. Phyllis is survived by daughter, Jackie Rogers of Toledo, grandson, Brain Rogers of Toledo, great-grandchild Clayton Rogers of Toledo, sisters, Rilla Jones of VanNuis, California, and Pearl Louise Watson of Crewe, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers, Allen, Carl, Kenneth, and Jack Koerber. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday February 1, 2008 at 11:00 am in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, Oak Harbor. Visitation will be Thursday January 31, 2008 from 2-8 pm in the funeral home. An Easter Star Service will be conducted at 7:30 pm Thursday in the funeral home. Interment will be held in Restlawn Memorial Park, Huron, OH.
