Phyllis Ann Mcgill

Phyllis Ann McGill, 86, formerly of Toledo, died Sunday, April 17, 2016, in Columbus, Ohio. She was born in Oak Harbor, Ohio to Frederick J. and Margaret L. (Stack) Palmer on February 28, 1930. On August 27, 1949 in Bowling Green, she married Arthur E. McGill, who preceded her in death in 1996. Phyllis enjoyed cooking and was a skilled seamstress; she created many costumes and wedding dresses for numerous clients. Phyllis was also an honored “lifetime” member of the Luckey American Legion #240 Auxiliary. Phyllis is survived by her loving family; children, Cynthia R. (Jerry Dauterman) Arney, Arthur E. (Roberta) McGill, Elizabeth J. McGill; four grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; siblings, Frederick (Eldonna) Palmer, and David Palmer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; parents, Frederick and Margaret; brother, Thomas (Helen) Palmer; and grandchild, Melanie Briggs. Friends and family will be received on Friday, April 22, 2016 from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg, Ohio (419-874-3133), with a Rosary Service beginning at 7:00 P.M. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 9:15 A.M. with a Funeral Mass at St. Rose Catholic Church, 215 E. Front Street, Perrysburg, Ohio, beginning at 10 A.M. Burial will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Phyllis’s name may be made to The Humane Society, 827 Illinois Avenue, Maumee, Ohio.
