Phyllis Macbride

Phyllis MacBride, 68, of Port Clinton and formerly of Akron, OH, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away, Friday, August 19, 2011 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, OH, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 12, 1943 in Akron, OH, the daughter of Leonard and Garnet Yeager Maynard. Phyllis was a graduate of Akron North High School. On July 07, 1986 in Winchester, VA, she married Arthur Mac MacBride and he survives. She was an instructor for the Summit County MDD. She lived most of her life in Akron, moving to Port Clinton after retirement. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Survivors include: Husband: Arthur Mac F. MacBride; children: Leonard Buddy Kisner Melissa, Chad A. Kisner Amy, Paul A. MacBride Kim, Mark F. MacBride Diane and Kathy A. MacBride Phil; 12 Grandchildren; Sister: Gloria Poole; many Nieces and Nephews; Sister-in-Law and Brother-in-Law: Mary and John Hillenbrand and a host of friends in Akron and Port Clinton. Visitation will be 10-12PM, Tuesday, August 23, 2011 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH, followed by a memorial service at 12:00PM. Private graveside service will be held at Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery, Rittman, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions in memory of Phyllis be made to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870. The family wishes to thank the staff of Firelands Regional Medical Center and Stein Hospice for their loving care and support.
