Phyllis, 93, of Toledo Ohio was received into Jesus’ arms on Thursday, December 16, 2021 surrounded by her family. Phyllis was born to Virginia A. Krieger and Arthur O. Keller on November 1, 1928 in Toledo, Ohio. In her earlier days, she went to a two-room school house (Hatch School) in Swanton, Ohio. She attended Swanton High School until her senior year and then the family relocated to Toledo (Point Place) in 1945 where she graduated from Waite High School. She was employed at several companies but in 1962, she was hired at Dana Corporation, working there for 32 years until her retirement. After retirement from Dana, she continued to work part time but always had time for her yard and garden and her family. She was secretary for Dana Quarter Century Club for several years, a member of the Michigan Ladies Auxiliary VFW post 3925, a member of Eleanor Kahle Senior Center and a member of TADRA. She is survived by her three children, Philip (Cathy) LaCourse, Sandy (Keith) Sharpless and Kimberly Leonhard. Grandchildren, Jeff LaCourse, Jeremy LaCourse, Jonathan (Ashley) LaCourse, Stan (Tanya) St Clair, Emily (John) Schifko, Lindsay (Nicholas) Baker and Jessica (Caleb) Holz. Great Grandchildren, Matthew LaCourse, Rebecca LaCourse, Tiffany, Stan, Tori St Clair, Liam and Clare Schifko, McKenzie, Addison and Paxton Holz, Nora and Nicholas Baker. Great Great Granddaughter, Ivy Rae Roth. She was the bedrock of our family and we all will miss her love for us, the conversations, her beauty and her wit. We are so very grateful for the end-of-life care given by the loving and compassionate staff of Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice and Senior Helpers. They helped Mom and all of us through this very difficult time. Phyllis was preceded in passing by her parents Arthur and Virginia Keller, brothers Jim Keller (a Purple Heart soldier), Dane Keller (Navy Veteran), and great-granddaughter Amanda LaCourse. Phyllis requested to be cremated with a service in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at Toledo Memorial Park which will take place on December 29th 2021 at Noon. You may leave condolences for the family at Walker Funeral Home & Crematory. Memorial tributes for Phyllis may be made to Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice, Make-A-Wish, Shriners Hospital or charity of your choice.
