Phyllis J. Layman

Phyllis J. Layman, 79, of Genoa, Ohio, died Thursday morning, August 18, 2011, in her home. She was born November 29, 1932, in Woodville, Ohio, to Gotlieb F. and Ella C. Tillie Layman. Phyllis was a member of Solomon Lutheran Church in Woodville, and she enjoyed sewing and needlepoint and reading the newspaper. Phyllis is survived by her son, Dennis Layman Carolyn Piotrowski, grandchildren, Barry Michelle Layman and Christapher Layman, great grandchildren, Taylor, Tristin, Barry, Jr. and Christapher, Jr., sisters, Geraldine and Gladys, and brothers, Kenneth, Russell and Ralph. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Eileen and Mildred, and brother, Willard. Visitation for Phyllis will be 2-8 p.m., Sunday, August 21, 2011, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory, Genoa. The funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 22, 2011, in the funeral home with interment to follow in Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa.
