Phyllis A. Granny Emch, 77, of Genoa passed away Friday, June 16, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born on October 29, 1939 in Toledo to John H. and Tessie P. (Smith) Jones. Phyllis worked for Atlas Industrial in Fremont, OH for 32 years before retiring in 2006. She was a member of Solomon Lutheran Church, Woodville and also attended Cedar Creek Church. Phyllis enjoyed sewing, reading, and her friends at the Genoa Senior Center and T.O.P.S. She loved her family very much and she made quilts for all of her grandchildren as graduation gifts. Loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother of daughter, Shelly (John) Bedford of Gibsonburg, son Michael (Polly) Emch of Michigan, daughter, Becky (Gary) Stansbury of New York, 8 grandchildren, John, Dustin, Lindsey, Nathan, Jacob, Emily, Isabella, and Luke, 12 great granchildren, Jayden, Lacie, Kali, Leah, Logan, Jersey, Trenton, Levi, Delilah, Stella, Makayla, and Livy, and sister, Mary Tallman of Bowling Green. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Derek Bedford. Visitation for Phyllis will be 2-8 p.m., Monday, June 19, 2017, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, where funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 20, 2017. Interment will follow in Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Lets Talk It Ovar Ovarian Cancer Support Group or Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg.
