Phyllis A. Baranek

BARANEK Phyllis Ann Phyllis Ann Baranek, age 76, died Thursday, September 16, 2010 at her home in Sylvania. Phyllis was born to Leo and Mary Manders in Toledo on November 20, 1933. A 1951 graduate of Whitney Vocational School, Phyllis worked in the office of Preston Trucking for 25 years and was a member of Teamsters Local 20. Phyllis is survived by her children, Annette Richard Bensman, James Jr. Kimberly Baranek, Michael Baranek, and Eric Tracy Baranek; grandchildren, Angela Emerson LaPoint and Barbara Baranek; great-grandson, Brendan LaPoint; her friends of Whitney class of 51 office practice; many nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her siblings, William, Richard, Donald, Loretta, Delores, and Cecelia. Phyllis family would like to thank the fifth floor nurses of Flower Hospital and also the nurses of Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4:30pm and 6-9:00pm at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. with a Rosary Service at 7:00pm. Funeral services will begin Monday with prayers at the funeral home at 9:20am followed by the Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 6149 Hill Ave. Toledo, OH 43615.
