Philip B. Shinaver

Philip Benjamin Shinaver Sr., age 86 of Maumee, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at St. Lukes Hospital. Phil was born in Oregon, OH on August 30, 1930 to Clifford Sr. and Gertrude (Martin) Shinaver. He was employed at L.O.F for 30 years until his retirement. Phil was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in the Korean War. He enjoyed spending time with his family; hunting, fishing, cards, horseshoe pitching, golfing and was an avid gardener. His memberships included Calvary Church, Maumee; St. Josephs Catholic Church, Maumee and the American Legion. Surviving is his loving wife of 64 years, Nancy Ann Shinaver; children, Philip (Karen) Shinaver Jr., David (Julie) Shinaver, Pam Shinaver and Keith (Angi) Shinaver. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and sister, Edith Willet. In addition to his parents. He was preceded in death by his son, John; grandson, Michael; great-granddaughter, Haleighna and siblings, Clifford II, Gertrude and Joseph. Friends and family will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 3:00-8:00 PM where funeral services will he held on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Restlawn Cemetery, Perrysburg. Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Church, 1360 Conant St., Maumee, OH 43537.
