Philip L. Seifert

Philip Phil L. Seifert, 77, of Perrysburg, OH passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2009 in the Toledo Hospital. He was born February 10, 1931 in Tiffin, OH to Paul and Laura Gosche Seifert. Phil was a 1949 graduate of Tiffin Calvert High School and an US Marine Corps veteran. He worked in Engineering for Webster Manufacturing and most recently for the Andersons for 31 years, retiring in 1988. Phil was an avid fisherman who enjoyed traveling and the companionship of many friends. He was also a member of the Maumee American Legion Post. Phil is survived by his wife of 51 years, Catherine Eschenbrenner Seifert; brother, Donald May Seifert; sisters, Carolyn Fisher and Betty Jerry Poignon; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Seifert; many nieces and nephews and special friend Rebecca Schools. In addition to his parents, Phil was preceded in death by his sister, Rosemary Dariano and brothers, Bernard, Joseph and James Seifert. Family and friends may visit Friday from 2-8 p.m. in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory, 501 Conant Street, Maumee where a Scripture Service will be held at 7:30p.m. Funeral services will begin Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rose Perrysburg Church. Interment will follow in St. Rose Church Cemetery. The family would like to thank the special angels in the Toledo Hospital Coronary ICU and Wildwood Dialysis especially Roxanne, for their outstanding care and support.
