Philip Wayne Robinson

Philip Phil Robinson, age 65 of Perrysburg, OH, passed away Saturday July 12, 2008 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg after a short illness. Phil was born in Toledo, OH on October 18th, 1942 to Wayne and Wanda Jane Pierce Robinson. He married Mary Martz from Olney, Illinois on July 8, 1963. After graduating from Libbey High School in 1960, Phil joined the United States Air Force serving from 1961-1965. He went on to an apprenticeship with Local 50 plumbers and Pipe Fitters. He retired in November 2000 after 35 years. Phil had several things that gave him joy. His grandchildren were at the top of the list. He was grampy to them. He also enjoyed trips to Illinois and Florida to visit family, football especially Ohio State and being part of the pals group at church. He is survived by his loving wife Mary, his mother Wanda Jane Robinson Helman, daughter, Kimberly Jacob of Perrysburg Jeff Monroe, son Christopher Dev, wonderful twin granddaughters, Sophia and Molly, and special new addition grandson Zachary Philip Robinson of Heath, Ohio, sister Bobbie Crosson of Toledo and nephews, nieces, cousins and many other extended family members. Philip was preceded in death by his father Wayne Robinson and step-father, Donald Helman. We would like to thank special angels at Toledo Hospital, Hospice for all their care and understanding Linda for her scrambled eggs, our church family and special friends Bill and Linda. Friends will be received Thursday 3-8 at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio. Friends will also be received Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM at Maumee United Methodist Church, 405 Sackett St. Maumee. Internment will follow in Fort Meigs Cemetery, Perrysburg, Ohio.
