Philip C. Meuser, Child of God, died on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Phil was born September 17, 1940 in Queens, NY to Otty and Emil Meuser. He graduated from Kirkwood High School in ST. Louis, MO, where he met his wife in the orchestra. He graduated from Drury College where he served as Business Manager of Lambda Chi fraternity. He later received an MBA from American University in Washington, DC. Phil proudly served as a naval officer aboard the U.S.S. Intrepid, CVC-11 before marrying his best friend in 1965. After 12 corporate moves, Phil was President of Riker Products, and VP of Sales and Marketing for Giant Industries, both in Toledo. Phil also taught business courses at U.T. and was a Realtor. Phil lived his faith. He was on the board the LHS, LSS, TAM, and NAMI Mental Health Council. He was a member of Toledo Valley, AASR, Zenobia Shrine Road Runners, and Toledo, Fort Industry. Phil was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, serving as past Director of Mission Outreach, along with sharing his time and talents in many other areas. He was also a member of CRHP. Phil had an unending love for his family. His other passions were NAMI of Greater Toledo, to help erase the stigma of mental illness; Kairos Prison ministry; and Good News! Via de Cristo of NW Ohio and SE Michigan, where he served as past Lay Director. Phil is survived by his loving wife Carol of 51 years; son, John Meuser; daughter, Lisa Meuser; granddaughter, Kathrynn Meuser; grandsons, Grant and Jordan Ashley; and sister-in-law, Barbara Osadcky along with many other relatives and dear friends. Visitation will be Friday, June 24, 2016 at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey rd.) from 3-7:00pm with a Toledo Ft. Industry service following. A Celebration of Life service will be Saturday, June 25th at 11:00am at Hope Lutheran Church (at the corner of Secor and Indian in Toledo).
