PHILIP W. KURFIS Philip W. Kurfis, 95, of Perrysburg, OH died Monday, October 8, 2012, in his home. He was born in Perrysburg on, August 12, 1917, to George F. and Mary E. (Davis) Kurfis. Phil was a Perrysburg Township farmer and was a lifelong member of Zoar Lutheran Church in Perrysburg. He also was a member of the Wood County Farm Bureau and the NRA Phil was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Frederick G. and Richard H. Kurfis, and sister, Mary Margaret Kurfis. Friends will be received from 4-7 P.M. on, Thursday, October 11, 2012, at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary St., Perrysburg (419-874-3133). Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, October 12, 2012 at Zoar Lutheran Church, 314 E. Indiana Ave. in Perrysburg. Burial services will be private in Fort Meigs Cemetery.
