Petra Diaz

Petra Patty Diaz, 60, of Genoa, Ohio, died unexpectedly Sunday evening, February 28, 2010 in Mercy-St. Charles Hospital, Oregon, Ohio. Petra was born August 5, 1949, in Weslaco, Texas, to Marcio, Sr. and Olivia Solis Vargas. On March 8, 1968, in Toledo she married Louis M. Diaz, Jr., who survives her. She was a homemaker and a member of Lighthouse Church in Sylvania. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Petra is survived by her children, Christina Ramon, Rebecca Diaz, Louis A. Diaz III, Elicka L. Zieroff, Paul A. Diaz, and Arielle C. Diaz; 21 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; sisters, Olga Maldonado and Janie Rhoman, and brothers, Albert and Mario. She was preceded in death by her mother, Olivia S. Ramon, and brothers, Marcio and William Vargas. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2010, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Genoa, with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. The burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2010, in Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa.
