Peter J. Hebert

Peter J. Hebert, 74, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. Peter was born August 6, 1937 in Millbury, Ohio to Peter and Norma (Rudolph) Hebert. Peter was the owner/operator of Woods Typewriter, servicing Bowling Green State University, Toledo Public Libraries, and other Toledo area organizations. Prior to purchasing Woods Typewriter, Peter worked as a fireman for the railroad, retiring in 1977. He was a member of the Toledo Rotary. Peter enjoyed bowling, fishing, golfing and playing cards. He loved cooking, making many signature dishes like chili, spaghetti, prime rib roast, and refrigerator stew. Peter is survived by his children; Bambi (Kirk) Lathrop, Peter (Remy) Hebert and Nathan (Gayle) Hebert; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and several loving nieces and nephews. Peter was preceded in death by his parents, step-parents and brother, Donald Hebert. Friends will be received Friday, June 1, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at Witzler-Shank Funeral, 222 East South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133) where funeral services will be held Sunday, June 2, 2012 at 11 A.M.
