Peter Harvey Cope

Our beloved Husband and Father, Peter Harvey Cope, age 79, of Waterville, Ohio passed away peacefully at Hospice of Northwest Ohio on October 22, 2014. Peter was born on March 6, 1935 to Harvey and Agnes Cope of Perrysburg, Ohio. He was a graduate of Perrysburg High School. Peter served in the United States Army from 1955 to 1957. He married Nancy Lee Schuett on November 8, 1958. In 2000 Peter retired from Fiske Brothers Refining Company where he was employed for 34 years. Peter enjoyed spending time with his family and friends playing cards and watching his favorite football team, the Ohio State Buckeyes. He was a kind, humorous and generous man who will live in our hearts forever. Peter is preceded in death by his Mother, Agnes Cope, his Father, Harvey Cope and his sister Virginia Hejna. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nancy; his son Steven (Maria) Cope, his daughters Pat (Dave) Morrison, Laurie (Earl) Foster, Granddaughters, Jennifer Morrison, Amanda Morrison, Lyndsey (Tyler) Roberts, Nicole Foster, and Courtney Foster; great grandsons Avery Joseph Roberts and Foster Harvey Roberts. Visitation will be held at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio on Sunday October 26, 2014 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. The funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday October 27, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maumee, Ohio. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Garden, Waterville, Ohio.
