Perry Dick Richard Carey, age 82 passed away Friday, December 9, 2011 while at his sons house in Georgia. He recently accepted Jesus Christ into his heart and is now rejoicing in Heaven. The son of Lecil and Rubye Cary, he was born August 15, 1929 in Blacks Ferry, Kentucky. Perry married Rose M. Carey on September 3, 1971. Rose passed away February 11, 2011. He is survived by his children Tony Stephanie Carey, Dawn Edward Bellner and Deedre Frank Schneider; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; brother Preston Gay Cary and 3 nieces. Perry graduated from Tompkinsville High School Kentucky in 1948. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy right out of High School and served on the USS Midway. Perry has been a Toledo Resident for over fifty years. He was an entrepreneur and had a passion for sales. He had an outgoing personality and loved to talk about anything and everything. His favorite place to be was outdoors. Taking walks in the park, tending to his garden rich with various fruits and vegetables and even making sure the birds and squirrels by his house were well fed. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, December 17, 2011 from 9am to 12 noon at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd.. Service will immediately follow the showing.
