Penny E Szypka

Penny Szypka, beloved mother and sister, passed away on June 22, 2024, at Otterbein SeniorLife Neighborhood in Perrysburg, Ohio. She was 63 years old. Penny was born on January 24, 1961, in Newark, Ohio, to Fred and Marie (Jones) Palmer. She married Frank Szypka on October 28, 1985, and together they raised two sons.

She took pride in her work as a school lunch staff member for many years. She enjoyed seeing the smiles on the children’s faces as they came through the line. Penny's evenings in the Fall were often spent cheering passionately for her favorite teams, the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns.

Penny is survived by her loving sons, Nick and James Szypka, and her siblings, Patty (Mish) Muir and Paul (Ann) Palmer. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred Palmer and Marie Jones, and her husband, Frank Szypka.

Her family and friends remember Penny for her kindness, her unwavering support, and her ability to find joy in life's simple pleasures. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Services for Penny are private, per her wishes. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sujkowski-Walker Funeral Home – Rossford.
