Pennie L Eckard

Pennie L. (Fox) Eckard, 58, of Curtice, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Heartland of Perrysburg. Pennie was born on April 21, 1958 to Gerald Fox and Claudette (Moore) Rozek in Oregon, Ohio. She obtained her Master’s degree from Spring Arbor University. She married her beloved husband, Michael C. Eckard, on June 21, 1987, and he survives. Pennie worked for Herzing University as a Program Director. She was a member of Mainstreet Church, The American Academy of Professional Coders, the American Health Information Management Association, and the American Academy of Medical Assistants. She also taught CPR courses for the American Heart Association. Pennie is survived by her husband, Michael; children, Andrew Fox and Michelle (William) Fuhr; grandchildren, Hunter Eash, Addison Fox, and Lucy Fuhr; parents, Gerald Fox and Claudette Rozek; sister, Linda (Jeffery) Goblirsch; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, William Fox. Friends will be received at the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 N. Main St. Walbridge, Ohio 43465 (419-666-3121) on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 5:00-8:00 PM. Funeral Services will take place in the funeral home on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery, Millbury. Memorial Contributions may be made to Mainstreet Church or to the American Cancer Society.
