Peggy Jo Shope-Barron

Peggy Jo Shope-Barron, age 56, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her family. The daughter of Herbert and Betty Shope, she was born July 1, 1957 in Toledo, OH. She was a graduate of Start High School and attended the University of Toledo where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She worked for Western Southern Insurance Co for 13 years and later at Tavern and Hamways on the Main for 20 years as food service manager. Peggy Jo enjoyed shopping with her friends and loved to entertain. She treasured her annual trips to Florida with the Friday night gang. She is survived by her husband, Forest; mother, Betty Lykins; brother, Robert Tina Shope; aunt, Sal Jack wood; nieces and nephews, Kelly, Kyle, Becky her precious cats, Dooney as well as numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Herbert and brother, William Shope. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday from 2-9 PM at Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave west of Corey Rd where services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday.
