Peggy Joyce Oster

Peggy Joyce Oster, age 91, of Toledo, died July 30, 2020 at her residence. She was born August 28, 1928 in Pennsylvania and spent much of her adult life in New Jersey. In her free time, Peggy enjoyed gardening and cooking - she always made an excellent New York Style Cheesecake. She was an animal lover but especially of cats. Peggy always had at least two cats in her home. She was loving and caring, extremely devoted to her family and will be remembered as "Grandma" to everyone she met. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Tina Tyra Miller, Richard (Connie) Oster, John (Jennifer) Oster, Jeffrey (Tracey) Oster, Michael Oster and Deborah (Jesse) Perry; many grandchildren and great grandchildren including her granddaughter and caregiver, Jennifer (Chris) Willey who Peggy raised from childhood. Peggy lived with Jennifer's family, including great grandson Callen, for the past 25 years. Peggy was preceded in death by three brothers, Wayne, Al and Floyd Brown; and her mother, Bertha Apgar. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo. Please consider a contribution in Peggy's name to Cherry Street MIssion.
