Pearl A. Vasko, 92, of Genoa, passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 14, 2015, at the Genoa Retirement Village. Pearl was born February 3, 1923, in Toledo, Ohio, to Michael and Mary (Toth) Vitosky. She married Joseph J. Vasko on May 2, 1942, in Toledo and he survives. She was a member of St. Michaels Byzantine Catholic Church in Oregon. Besides being a full-time homemaker, Pearls hobbies included golfing, sewing and bowling, and she enjoyed working with stained glass. Pearl is survived by her husband, Joseph, her son, David (Gail) Vasko, daughter-in-law, Karen Vasko, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and sister, Eleanor Martin of California. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Dr. Allan Vasko, sisters, Mary Burris and Betty Cherry, and brother, Elmer Vitosky. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 19, 2015, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa. The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service from 1-2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials for Pearl may be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551.
