Paulo “Pauly” Palacios Artiaga, 49, of Perrysburg, OH passed away early Monday morning, September 21, 2020 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 11, 1971 in Port Clinton, OH to Epifanio and Julia (Palacios) Artiaga. Paul served in the U.S. Army as a Calvary Scout, during the Iraq War, with the 1st/148th Infantry Division. He worked in the solar manufacturing field. Paul enjoyed history and reading war books and watching movies. His pride and joy was his family, especially his grandkids. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jesus Artiaga, and 3 infant siblings. Survivors include his children, Savanah (Chester Szydlowski) Artiaga, Fallon (Garrett) Hindley, and Austin (Kinnis) Artiaga, grandchildren, Lily, Elijah, Walker Hindley and Hunter Hindley, brothers, Juan Artiaga of Perrysburg, OH, Jose E. (best friend Geri Sondergeld) Artiaga Jr. of Weston, OH, Ricardo (Louann) Artiaga of Whitehouse, OH, Enrique Ricky (Judi) Artiaga of Oak Harbor, OH., Freddy (Rene) Artiaga of Toledo, OH., Alex (Mariana) Artiaga of Palm Harbor, FL., and Thomas Artiaga of Toledo, OH, and sisters, Maria Artiaga of Toledo, OH., Aurelia (Larry) Brockman of Oroville, CA., Gloria (William) Bennett of Oak Harbor, OH., Isabel (Roger) Kleopfer of Holland, OH., Cristina (Mark) Kenski of Sandusky, OH., and Angela (Jody) Henry of Mansfield, OH. Graveside services for Paul will be conducted 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 25, 2020 at Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa, OH with military graveside honors. Per the state mandate, facial coverings and social distancing should be observed. Memorial contributions in memory of Paul may be made in care of his family or Interim Hospice, Toledo, OH.
