Pauline A. Wetzel, 91, of Millbury, Ohio passed away, Thursday, December 23, 2021, at the Genoa Retirement Village. She was born on July 18, 1930, in Crook, Colorado to Phillip and Pauline (Brown) Appelhans. She married Amos L. Clere in 1949 and he preceded her in death in 1957. She married Richard E. Wetzel in Millbury, Ohio on July 6, 1959, and he preceded her in death on October 29, 2006. Pauline worked at the Sears Coffee Shop at the former Woodville Mall and for Crown Cork & Seal in Perrysburg, Ohio. She was exceptionally talented and created many crocheted, knitted and needlework pieces for friends and family. Pauline also enjoyed spending time with her family keeping up with their many activities. She is survived by her daughters, Judy Wetzel and Linda Avery, sons, Steve Clere, Robert (Vicky) Clere, Dave (Jennifer) Clere, John (Bev) Wetzel, Dennis (Pam) Clere, eighteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren and her sister, Shirley Davenport. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Amos Clere and Richard Wetzel, son, Richard Wetzel Jr. and grandson, Adam Clere. A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 10:00-12:00 prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Northern Ohio Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 425 Literary Rd, Suite 100, Cleveland, Ohio 44113, or the Donor’s Choice.
