Pauline Kay Eaton, 90, of Port Clinton, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton with her family by her side. She was born on August 31, 1933 in Harman, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Otis and Mary (Kyle) Raines. On July 6, 1962 she married Walter Howard Eaton and he survives.
Pauline worked in the office at the Erie Army Depot until its closure, and then worked as a waitress at former restaurants, Mon Ami on Catawba Island and Bob Underwoods in Port Clinton. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Port Clinton.
Pauline was a beautiful person both inside and out who enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved getting together with her friends and playing cards. She was an avid cook, and was known for making the best fudge, and loved eating chocolate. Christmas was a special time of year with her family as she enjoyed putting up the tree and decorating. Times spent outdoors you could find her sitting down by the river and enjoying a cookout, telling stories and laughing, traveling, camping, going on family vacations to Colorado, Washington, Canada, and visiting her daughter in Florida. She loved her family dearly, and was proud of her grandchildren.
Survivors include her loving husband, Walter; daughter, Tami (Dexter) Colvin; son, Robert (Josie) Wilkins; grandchildren, Jennifer (David) Lee, Scott Wilkins, Abby Wilkins; great-granddaughter, Rachel Valverde; great-great-grandsons, Gage and Mason; and special friend, Louise Toris. She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Scott and David: and siblings, Fred, Roger, Charlie, Nadine, and Liz.
Visitation will be held at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 135 Adams Street, Port Clinton, Ohio on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 10 am until Funeral Services at Noon with Pastor Jarrod Schaaf officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton.
