Pauline J. Boyers

Pauline J. Boyers, age 92, formerly of Toledo, passed away Monday February 14, 2011 in Briar Hill Health Campus, North Baltimore, Ohio. She was born December 13, 1918 in Wauseon to Albert and Amber Egnew. She began giving piano lessons when she was 12 years old and later graduated from BGSU with a degree in music education. She taught music in the Toledo Public School system for 27 years retiring in 1973. A charter member of Hampton Park Christian Church, she was also a member of Church Women United. Pauline also enjoyed traveling with her husband. The widow of Elbert Gus Boyers, she was also preceded in death by a grandson, Brad Boyers and a brother, Robert Egnew. Surviving are her sons, D. Joe Julaine Boyers and Jack Janet Boyers; grandchildren, Jason Brenda, Chad Melissa and Chris Terri Boyers and Daria Jon Sutton; 8 great-grandchildren; and brother, Tom Egnew. Friends will be received at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey on Friday from 4-9 PM where funeral services will be Saturday at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Lyons Cemetery.
