Paule Muguette Ford, 90, of Perrysburg, passed away Friday, October 16, 2020 at home surrounded by family. She was born in Lyons, France on May 1, 1930 to Frank and Marguerite (Bourdourge) Hilliard. She was an only child and loved her adopted country, America. Paule was exceedingly generous with all people, inviting people from around the world to share her home and her table constantly. She was the heart of her family. She loved to socialize playing bridge or pinochle or hearts. She was a great devotee of history, especially World War II, because she lived through it as a girl. She was living in Canada at age 9 when the war began in 1939. At age 15, she was living in Southern California when the war ended in 1945. Paule is survived by her husband James; children Paul James Ford, Mary Chris (Scott) Kay, Catherine Anne (Timothy) O’Donnell, Marguerite A. (Jess) Grimm, and Patrice A. Atchley; 51 grandchildren; and 90 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Jacqueline Ford Lemon, and son-in-law Steve Atchley. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 22, 2020 from 6-8 P.M. at Witzler-Shank Walker Funeral Home, Perrysburg (419) 874-3133. A rosary service will occur at 7:30 P.M. A funeral mass will be held the following day at St. Rose Catholic Church, Perrysburg at 11 A.M. with burial following immediately at St. Rose Catholic Cemetery.
