Paul George Wilson, 67, of Bowling Green, Ohio departed this earth unexpectedly on July 25, 2022 in Toledo, Ohio. He was born on November 28, 1954 to Vernon and Anne (Juzwicki) Wilson where he grew up alongside his two sisters.
Paul attended Scott High School and graduated in 1973. Paul acquired many skills after graduating. He worked with heating & air conditioning, drywall, plumbing as well as roofing. Paul was the guy you could call to help you in a time of need. Many times, he would help his friends at no charge.
Paul accumulated many friends from Albion Street, including his future wife Debra (Peace) Wilson. They met after Paul had actually taken her older sister, Nancy, out for a drink. It didn’t go well. After Debra gave her opinion on the matter, he became friends with their older brother Jimmie Dean so that he could meet her. They were married August 9, 1980. They had 3 children together. Though he and Debra have separated since then, they have remained very close friends. His children have very fond memories of playing silly games like “Monster” as children and countless memories of family game nights with cards and dice and good music.
Paul was a “fun time” guy! If he wasn’t having fun, he was grumpy. There wasn’t really an in between. He had many nicknames given by his many friends including “Willy” “Wilson” & “Oldie McFoldy” when playing poker. Paul was extremely good at a majority of things. Paul shot pool for multiple bars including Marilyns, The Deluxe Inn, and the Pour House. He won state championships for his ability to shoot pool, and may have hustled you a time or two! If there was a tournament in horse shoes, he was sure to be champion! It didn’t stop there. He also loved darts and shared a love of golf with his father, son, and nephews. He loved to joke and razz! As long as the joke wasn’t on him! Paul was known for his loud, boisterous demeanor. He was loved and accepted by everyone who met him including his childrens friends. He loved to tell a good story and had no problem capturing the room! In his younger days you could catch him with a cold one in hand, and a smile on his face. There was usually a sports related program on the television as well. He rooted for the Cleveland Browns, Kentucky Basketball, and most importantly The Ohio State Buckeyes! Paul also had a soft side and a huge heart. His friends and family know he was one of a kind, and will cherish the memories they have with him, until they meet again.
Paul was preceded in death by his two sisters, Margaret (Peg) Costilla, Patricia (Patti) Badas. He is survived by his ex-wife, Debra Wilson; children, Paul Wilson, Allie (Matthew) Ahrens, Ashley (Dave) Morrissey; grandchildren, Steven Hawkins, Alexis Hawkins, Oakley Morrissey, Owen Morrissey, Liam Rybarczyk; and many other nieces, nephews, and friends.
