Paul E Capt. Hughes

Captain Paul E. Hughes, 71 of Toledo, OH passed away on October 21, 2016 at Hospice of N.W.Ohio, Perrysburg. He was born on January 4, 1945 to Majors Howard and Natalie (Litz) Hughes in W. Pittston,PA. Captain Hughes was a Pastor with The Salvation Army and he enjoyed brass band music, playing the tuba and cornet and fishing. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Howard Hughes. Surviving are loving wife of 50 years, Reta Hughes; children, Derek L. (MaryJoAnna), Tracy (Kevin) Knappins and Paulie A. Hughes; grandchildren, Courtney, Mallory, Marissa, Francisco, Tucker, Paul, Natalie, Adam, Gianna , Angel Austin, Jenna, Cael and Marina; great-grandchildren, Bentley and Syler; and Paul's sister, Beverly Hughes. Visitation will take place at Hoeflinger-Bolander Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave., Oregon, OH on Monday, October 24, 2016 from 2-8 P.M. Funeral services on Tuesday will begin at The Salvation Army Temple, 620 N. Erie St., Toledo, where he will lie in state from 9:30 am with services starting at 10:30 am.
