Paul K. Geiser

December 16, 1934 — January 21, 2021

Paul Kenneth Geiser passed away on January 21, 2021 at his home in Gahanna, Ohio. He was a caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and a friend to everyone he met. Paul was born to Paul Jacob and Margaret (Saunders) Geiser on December 16,1934 in Lancaster, Ohio. After graduating from Lancaster High School in 1953, he served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Korea. He graduated from Ohio State University in 1962 and worked as a Mechanical Engineer, retiring from Owens Corning in Toledo after 32 years. Married on June 12, 1964 in Genoa, Ohio, Paul and Lyn (Wingate) built a comfortable life in Genoa with their four children. After Paul’s retirement from Owens Corning, they moved to Gahanna, Ohio where he worked for Varo Engineers before retiring in the mid-90’s to care for his wife on a full-time basis. Paul was an understated shadetree mechanic with a wry sense of humor. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, watching motorsports, and was an active OSU sports fan. His devotion to and support of his wife, Lyn, was his primary focus for the past 30 years. Paul will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Lyn, his younger sister, Charlotte, his children, Dan, Amy (Karl Borko) Mullins, Matthew (Erika) of Monterey, CA, and Christopher of Hoboken, NJ, his grandchildren, Meghan, Kylie, Keon, and Emily, his great-granddaughter, Emma, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Mary Lou (Docter), JoAnn (Swinehart), and Marjorie (McGraw), and brothers John and Henry. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Paul’s name to the OSU Women’s Intercollegiate Athletics Program Fund (303493) or the OSU Mechanical Engineering Research Fund (313153) at www.osu.edu/giving/ . The family will hold graveside services in Clay Township Cemetery. Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West Street, Genoa, Ohio had the honor of assisting Paul’s family.
