Paul A. Benson

Paul A. Benson, 90, of Marblehead, OH, passed away, Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, OH, surrounded by his loving family. Paul was born on August 03, 1927 in Galion, OH, the son of Lloyd and Mary (Hemminger) Benson. On November 14, 1944 in Marion, OH, he married Patricia M. Runyan and she preceded him in death on June 03, 2014. Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked for Railway Express for 35 years until his retirement in 1975. Paul will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Those left to cherish his memory are: Children: Pam (Mike) Drumm, Phillip (Sally) Benson, Polly Lynn, Paula (Frank) Hodge and Penny (Joe) Czarnecki; 11 Grandchildren; Sister: Dorothy Rother and Brother: David Benson. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, wife, granddaughter: Kim Ireton and brother: Leo Benson Burial will be in Sackett Cemetery, Marblehead, OH with military graveside services being conducted at 11:00am, Monday, July 23, 2018, by the V.F.W. Stanley Jadwisiak Post #7572. Memorial donations may be given to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870. Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH assisted the family with arrangements.
