On October 20, 2017, Patsy Ruth (Goss) Stutler passed on to heaven at the age of 86. She was born on July 26, 1931 in Toledo to Inez and Ernie Goss. She lived all of her life in Toledo and graduated from DeVilbiss High School in 1949. She had many wonderful friends during those years and maintained many of those friendships throughout the years. She continued her education at BGSU. However, after a year, she moved back to Toledo to be closer to a wonderful young man who she met through the efforts of her Father and that young man’s Brother. When she met Denver (Denny), she knew that he was the love of her life. They were married in 1952 and shared 58 years of married life together, until his death in 2010. They were very happy together, sharing everything and enjoying their lives together. They had a son, Mark, in 1957. Patsy enjoyed being a Mom and wife and fulfilled both of those roles in a loving and selfless manner. As their parents grew older, Pat and Denny devoted their lives to taking care of them. She always looked for ways to help others. Patsy was a devoted member of Hampton Park Christian Church for over 50 years and her faith was very important to her. Probably the highlight of Patsy’s life was spending time with her three grandchildren; Caitlin, Patrick and Anna and great grandson Conner. She never missed any of their activities and truly loved being a Grandma. In addition to Mark and his wife Beth, and their children and grandson, Patsy is survived by her nieces, Joanne Parker and Linda Schnell. She had many friends who will miss her, especially Paula Ballmer who brightened her days with many visits over the past three years. The family invites you to celebrate Patsy’s life at Walker Funeral Home on Sylvania Ave. with visitation on Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 3-7 PM. A funeral service will be at Walker’s on Monday at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow immediately at Toledo Memorial Park. The family suggests tributes to the Alzheimers Association, 2508 N. Reynolds Rd., Toledo, OH 43615. The family also would like to thank the many wonderful and loving staff who provided for her care at The Grove, as well as the compassionate and caring staff of Ohio Living Hospice.
