Patsy L. Dazell, age 82, of Waterville, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2017. She was born January 26, 1935 in Toledo to the late Lee and Mabel (Bertram) Thornton and graduated from Libbey High School in 1953. She was employed as an executive secretary at Seaway Foodtown for 10 years and with St. Charles Hospital in medical records for 13 years. Patsy and her husband also owned and operated the Consaul Tavern for more than 20 years. In her free time, she enjoyed reading the daily news and took great pride in the cleanliness of her home. Her family was most important to her, the sunshine day and night in her life. Patsy was preceded in death in 1992 by her beloved husband, Richard Dazell, after 39 bliss-filled years of marriage. She spent the past 22 years in Florida with her best friend and companion, Donald Wollenbecker, who survives. Also surviving are her sons, Rick (Deborah), Michael (Dawn) and Randy (Lisa) Dazell; her grandchildren who were the sweetest things God sent, Kelly, Bradley (Lindsy), Ian (Marissa) and Adam; great granddaughter, Makaela; and brother, Donald (Marlyn) Thornton. She was preceded in death by siblings, Lee, Gerald, and Russell Thornton and Delores Russell. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 15, 2017. Burial will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the American Heart Association.
