Patrick Mccann

Patrick Mark McCann, 67, of Port Clinton, OH passed away Thursday, May 4, 2023 at the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, OH surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 14, 1955 in Toledo, OH to John “Jack” R. and Sandra (Hicks) McCann.

Patrick worked as a building contractor, which he truly loved for the sake of building and completing the work. He also got to travel some too with his work as well, which made it extra enjoyable for him. He loved boating, riding motorcycles, and flying planes in his free time. Being on the water or on the wharf was the definition of a great day for him. Patrick was known to be even keeled and a very kind soul to everyone. He was an animal whisperer as well, especially to his beloved dogs, Hank “Goober” and Boo Boo. Patrick will be remembered as a great brother and wonderful dad.

Patrick is survived by his children, Melissa McCann and Ryan (Drisana) Dickson, step-children, Regina Linckous and Tracy Linckous, grandchildren, Kalista, Aiden, Kade, Tristan, and Nathaniel, siblings, Mike (Barb) McCann, Rosanne Gorzinkski, Tim (Cindy) McCann, Kelly McCann, and Shawn McCann, and nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Linda Lawson, who he enjoyed 36 years together with, and his brother-in-law, Mike Gorzinkski.

Plans for a Celebration of Life for Patrick will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions in memory of Patrick can be given in care of the family or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
