Patricia J. Wilson

Patricia Jean Werrell Wilson, age 83, of Toledo, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. A native of Toledo, Patricia was born December 11, 1930 and was a devoted daughter to her parents, the late Dr. Edward P. and Lucy E. Mueller Werrell. Surviving is her loving husband, George F. Wilson, who she married on August 20, 1955 in Toledo. Also surviving is her daughter, Karen J. Gauthier; and a special cousin, Will Mueller. Her son, David G. Wilson, and son-in-law, John W. Gauthier, also preceded Patricia in death. A graduate of St. Ursula Academy, Patricia earned a BA in Education from The University of Toledo in 1952. She went on to teach the third grade at Garfield School and at Head Start. Patricia was proud of her Irish and German heritage and loved music, especially playing the piano. She also enjoyed vacations to Myrtle Beach and Northern Wisconsin and keeping up with current events. She was a member of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church. Patricia will be remembered for her terrific sense of humor and her deep love for her family. Visitation will be Sunday, January 12, 2014, from 3-6 p.m. in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd.. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 13, 2014 at Christ the King Church, 4100 Harvest Lane, Toledo please meet at church. Committal rites and burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Christ the King Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E.
