Patricia “Pat” Ann Rose, 72, of Toledo, OH, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg.
Born on October 17, 1952, in Toledo, she was the daughter of Marvin W. and Erma M. (Petroff) Benton. Throughout her life, Pat held many jobs that reflected her hard work and versatility. She worked as a waitress at Frisch’s, for Cherrydale Farms, Target, Service Master, Advance Engineering, and as part of an Oversize Load Escort Service. She also drove cars for Jeep. Her most meaningful role, however, was as a devoted stay-at-home mom and later a caregiver for her family, a role she embraced with love and dedication.
Pat had a true gift for the kitchen. She loved decorating, cooking, baking, candy making, and gardening. Known as an excellent cook, she delighted in preparing meals for her family. She had a special talent for tasting a dish at a restaurant or one made by a friend, then recreating the recipe herself with her own touch.
Pat is survived by her children, Carey (Jason) Hiner and Michael Rose; grandchildren, Mirisa Cahill and Taylor Cahill; siblings, Dorothy (Danny) Stobaugh, Fay (Steve) Schaller, Berta Benton, Evon Patterson, and Marvin Benton, Jr.; and her beloved cat, “Kitty Kitty.” She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Constance Cahill; and her sister, Marlene Benton.
Family and friends may visit on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 3500 Navarre Ave., Oregon, OH. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m., with interment to follow at North Oregon Cemetery, Oregon, OH.
