Patricia Ann Pike

Patricia Ann Pike , age 76, died early Sunday morning, June 13, 2010, at Sunset Village Retirement Communities. Pat was born on April 7, 1934, attended St. Johns School in Uniontown, PA, and received her degree in dietetics from Mount Mercy College, Pittsburgh, PA. She began her career at Childrens Hospital in Pittsburgh, where she met her husband, Ed. They were married on August 16, 1958 in Uniontown, PA. Later years found Pat and Ed making their home in the Toledo area. It was here that Pat practiced her career as a dietitian until the arrival of their children when Pat became a stay at home mom. Pat spent most of her life living on Mockingbird Lane in Toledo. She met and made many friends in her neighborhood, through her church, Christ the King, and her active participation at Sylvania Country Club. It was here that she enjoyed many rounds of golf with her favorite golfing partner, her husband Ed. She leaves to cherish her memory, loving children, Edward V. Pike and Eric C. Petra Pike. She was the proud grandmother of Alexis G. and Sean E. Pike. In addition, she is survived by her brother, James Curnutte and sister, Virginia Joseph Umpirowicz. Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Edward J. Pike, her parents, Willard and Bridget Curnutte, and her brother, Edward F. Curnutte. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5 till 9 PM at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey. Funeral services will begin Thursday at 9:30 AM in the funeral home followed by the Mass of the Resurrection at 10 AM in Christ the King Catholic Church.
