Patricia Myers

Patricia Lynn (Fresenius) Myers Patti passed away unexpectedly in her home on October 23rd. She was born June 7th, 1961 in Toledo, Ohio to her parents, Dale and Barbara (Reucher) Myers. She spent her childhood and young adult years in Rossford, Ohio and graduated from Rossford High School in 1979. She was active in high school, participating in Cheerleading, Softball and Student Council. In her early school years, she met Julie Kolanko and Jackie Herman. Julie and Jackie were not only her best friends but were more like sisters as they grew up and have only become closer over all these years. Julie and Jackie are truly considered family by all in the Myers households. Always the exceptional student, Patti excelled in academics in high school and college. She studied Radiation Therapy at Owens Community College and had a successful career in the field. She later earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Community Health from Muskingum College and enjoyed helping others in this sector of health care. Where she was most comfortable though was working around the house – painting, lawn care and landscaping. She kept busy over the years helping others with their home projects. In between all this, she had four children with her former husband, Michael. Unfortunately, her first child, Michael, Jr., died as an infant, but she and Mike went on to raise three incredible children in Matthew, David and Heidi. As a family they lived in California, Arizona and Michigan, but all seemed to feel that Michigan is their real home regardless of where they all may reside today. Patti is survived by her former husband and friend, Mike. Her children Matthew (Katie), David (Janelle) and Heidi. Her father Dale (Pat). Her siblings, Nancy Grinonneau, Tom, (Laurie) and Steve (Janet). Her Fresenius extended family, former mother-in-law Joy Fresenius, sister-in-law Debbie, brothers-in-law Dave (Linda) and Steve (Theresa). She is also survived by best friends Julie, Jackie, Wafa, Joni and several other nieces, nephews, cousins and special people in her life. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael, Jr., her mother Barbara, her brother David, former father-in-law Bob Fresenius, maternal and paternal grandparents. Services will be private and handled by The Walker Sujkowski Funeral Homes. Any messages of condolence for the family can be left on the Walker website. A celebration of her life will be planned for a later date in 2021 when an outdoor setting can be enjoyed.
