Our mom is finally at peace. Her new forever life began on Thursday November 3, 2016 at Promedica Ebeid Hospice. Mom was born March 4, 1935 in Belton, KY to Bernard and Margaret (Wells) Gossett. The family moved to Toledo in 1943. She was raised in the North End and graduated from Woodward High School in 1953, and still sung or hummed the fight song until the end. She married Dennis Moore in January of 1956 and together raised 5 children. Mom worked at Centre Market until her retirement in 1987. In 1987 after the passing of Denny she continued the family business, Moores Plumbing Supply until its closing in 2010. Pat, Mom, Gran loved her family. She would always say This is what it is all about. Mom loved her books, all 2000 plus of them. She also loved camping gardening and shopping. Mom even loved an occasional bonfire and could always be heard playing her piano and singing at the top of her lungs. She had a beautiful voice. Mom was an avid Ohio State and Steelers fan but she really loved her Manning boys no matter who they played for. Mom was preceded in death by the love of her life, Dennis Moore in 1986; her parents Bernard and Margaret Gossett; grandson David Vargas, Jr.; granddaughter Stephanie Moore; brother Dale Gossett; and sister-in-law Shirley Gossett. Surviving this beautiful lady are her children Denyse (David, Sr.) Vargas, Thomas Moore, Joan (Mike) Mitchell, Robert (Trish) Moore and Kathy (Jerry Smith) Moore; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister Melva (Pete) Plocek; brothers Wayne (Joyce) Gossett, Dwight (Vicki) Gossett and Rich (Dina) Gossett; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may visit the family on Sunday from 3-8 PM in the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey) where funeral services will be conducted Monday at 10 AM, officiating will be Deacon Mike Pence. Moms final resting place will be with Dad at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers we are asking that donations in Moms name be made to Alzheimer Dementia Care Services of NWO 2500 N. Reynolds Rd. Suite 2, Toledo, Ohio 43615 or Promedica Ebeid Hospice 5300 Harroun Rd. Sylvania, Ohio 43560. To all the Angels at Alzheimers Daycare and Ebeid Hospice that helped to care for our mom and gran these last few months and days we say THANK YOU and GOD BLESS.
