Patricia Burke Iocoangeli, age 68, of Sylvania formerly of Maumee passed away September 29, 2009, embraced lovingly by her daughter, husband and son-in-law at Hospice of Northwest Ohio after a long battle with heart disease. Patsy was born in Lynch, Kentucky February 7, 1941 and came as a child to Toledo where she grew up. She attended Whitney High School and graduated in 1959. She achieved an associates degree from University of Toledo. She began her career of 25 years as an accountant for The Toledo Blade May 18, 1970 and retired December 1, 1995 due to health issues. Along with her many accomplishments, Patsy held her real estate license in Ohio for many years and had been co-owner of A & P Construction Company in Manteo, NC. Patsys zest for life and her know NO strangers personality were her trademarks. The love for her family and pride in their accomplishments gave her her special glow. Patsys many friends over the years were a testament to her outgoing personality. She loved people, fun and family. Anyone around her could feel her energy and life. Widowed after 27 years of marriage, to Orville John Burke, in 1997 Patsy found love again with Alan Iocoangeli. They were married August 19, 1999 and had 10 happy years together when the Lord called her home Tuesday evening surrounded by love. Patsy is survived by her loving husband, Alan; her only daughter, DeAnna John Emborski of Everett, WA and 3 grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren, Logan and Layne Alkire and Hunter Emborski and Crystalynn, Nathan and Coralanne Emborski. Brothers, Larry Barb Goss, Bill Jeannie Lambdin, Rod Lambdin and Earl Cheryl Lambdin Jr.; several cousins, nieces and nephews along with more extended family shared in the love of this special lady. Patsy is now one of the angels she loved so much and will guide us from Heaven with her loving touch. My sweet Mommy, beloved wife, dear Grandmother, sister and friend we have lost you now but will see you again. We know you are with God and find peace in our grief that your suffering is over and you are at peace. Friends and family will be received Saturday from 2-9 and Sunday from 1-8 with a Scripture service at 6 p.m. Sunday at Maison-Dardenne Walker Funeral Home Maumee. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Monday followed by the funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Josephs Church Maumee. Interment will be St. Josephs Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association and Hospice of Northwest Ohio in her name.
