Patricia Griffith

Patricia Mahoney Griffith, age 86, passed away on January 13, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital after a short illness. She was born in Buffalo, NY on October 10, 1930 to Joseph and Lucille (ONeil) Mahoney. She was a retired professor at BGSU, where she was the Coordinator of the Hearing Impaired Program. Patricia was an accomplished pianist and a singer, who wrote and published music. She was an avid supporter of her beloved church, St Joan of Arc, and loved studying her religion. Patricia loved the symphony, ballet, and opera. She was an avid gardener and loved being in and taking care of her beautiful home. For many years she found comfort in the guidance and support of Father Bacik, Father Hertzfeld and Father Zak. Patricia was preceded in death by her devoted husband Richard Griffith. She is survived by Richard’s daughter, Kelly (Tim) Griffith Shirer and her three sons, Chandler, Cameron and Connor; her dear friends, Madonna Cotler, Joy Hyman-Goldberg, Pamela Miller and Cindy Wray. A memorial Mass will be held on Friday, January 27th, 2017 at 10:30 A.M at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church 104 W. Broadway St., Maumee.
