Patricia M. Dickey

Patricia M. Dickey (Bauerschmidt), age 86, beloved wife to Kenneth G. Dickey, went home to be with the Lord while at St. Lukes Hospital on August 15, 2018. A lifelong resident of Maumee and Waterville, Ohio. She was very active in the St. Joseph Parish in Maumee. Patricia was raised in a house that use to sit in whats now the parking lot for the church and school. Pat has influenced many lives over the years teaching fourth grade at St. Josephs Catholic School, Maumee. Pat was very active in St. Joes Choir where she sang with daughter, Julie, for many years. Pat and Ken were lifetime members of the Waterville Playshop, where they made history having three generations on stage in the same production. Pats love for music, rug hooking, and her family were just a few of her many passions. She graduated from Maumee High School in 1950, then graduated from Mary Manse College. She retired from teaching after 36.5 years with most of that time being spent at St. Joseph in Maumee. She enjoyed tennis, golf, swimming and volunteer work. Patricia attended St. Joseph Catholic church and lending a helping hand with communion distribution, and Rosary Altar society. Patricia was also a 25 year Breast Cancer survivor. Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Ken; daughter, Julie Oster, son, Mark (Sharon) Dickey; daughters, Becky Tittle and Beth Kurtz. All whom reside in the area. She is also survived by sister; Fran Sis Waltman and brothers, Donald (Daphne) Bauerschmidt and Jim Bauerschmidt. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Rachel (Dana), Matthew, Kristina (David), Alyssa, Aaron, Evan; great-grandchildren, Alison, Brylee, Hayden, Maizey; and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all who loved her and all the students lives that she touched during her 36 years of teaching. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Frances Bauerschmidt; daughter, Mary Dickey; her brothers, Bill, Bob, and Joe Bauerschmidt who greeted Pat as she arrived in Heaven. The Family will receive visitors on Friday, August 17, 2018 between the hours of 2 to 8 P.M. with the Rosary starting at 7:00 P.M. at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St, Maumee. Funeral Services will be on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church, 104 W. Broadway, Maumee. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Josephs Parish, Maumee; sisters of Notre Dame Toledo, Ursuline Sisters of Toledo.
