Patricia Cheney

Patricia A. Cheney, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2008 at Kingston Care Center. She was born on April 17, 1926 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Lawrence and Amy Redd Snow and preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Dr. David Cheney. A lifetime advocate of civil rights and childrens literature, she worked in the medical profession for over 20 years, retiring in 1990. She was a self-sacrificing champion of the underdog, a mother to two, and an unshakable support for many. She is survived by her grandson, Alaric Toft; daughter, Pamela Angle; and brothers, Dick Dorothy Snow and Larry Anna Snow. A Memorial Service will be held at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. on Saturday, November 29th at 3 PM. Memorial contributions should be used to aid the contributors own friends and family through difficult times.
