Patricia Bruce

Patricia Bruce, 85, of Monclova, Ohio passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021. Patricia was born in Toledo, Ohio on November 21, 1935 to Carl and Virginia (Skomil) Soules. She graduated from Harriet Whitney High School, Class of 1954. She married James Bruce and together, they had one daughter, Lisa. Patricia worked within the home, raising her daughter, caring for her husband, parents, and extended family members. In later years, Patricia worked in Food Service for Toledo Public Schools. Her love for her family was demonstrated by cooking and hosting many family dinners and holiday gatherings. She valued family traditions and instilled a sense of tradition in the family’s younger generations. She had deft hands with green thumbs, loving to bake, crochet and garden. Patricia was a member of Rossford United Methodist Church and recently became a fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes. Patricia is survived by Lisa and Jeffrey Comley, her grandson Alexander, her sister and brother-in-law Phyllis Jean and Raymond St. John, and many nieces and nephews. Patricia was preceded by her parents, her brother Thomas Soules, her husband of 53 years, and her faithful canine companion Hondo. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Sujkowski-Walker Funeral Home, 830 Lime City Road, Rossford, Ohio 43460. Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Toledo, Ohio. Contributions may be directed toward Rossford United Methodist Church, the Toledo Area Humane Society, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
