Patricia L. Brondes

Patricia L. Brondes passed away peacefully on September 20, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Fremont, Ohio on January 24, 1932, to her parents Vorys and Dora Smith. Patty was blessed with grace and beauty her entire life. She graduated from Devilbiss High School, and then became a dental assistant for 20 years. During that time, she met her late husband, Donald C. Brondes. They were married in Maui, Hawaii on August 26, 1971, with all their children in attendance.

Together she and Donald traveled the world and enjoyed time with each other, especially their summers at Lake Columbia in Brooklyn, Michigan. Patty also enjoyed spending her winters in Naples, Florida. She loved playing tennis, volunteering at the Ability Center of Greater Toledo, and was on the Promedica Flower Hospital Auxiliary.

Patty had a few favorite goodies she loved to indulge in including dirty martinis, T. Michaels Beef Tips, licorice, and chocolate.

Generosity was a part of how Patty lived. Whether it was her time, talents, or resources, she never hesitated to help others. She had a big heart for many causes, but her favorites were the Toledo Humane Society, Ability Center of Greater Toledo, and the Ann Grady Center.

Being a devoted mother to her beautiful family was the most important thing to her. Her loving ways and her generous spirit made her the greatest mom and grandmother anyone could ask for. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents Dora and Vorys Smith, and her husband Donald C. Brondes. Left to cherish her memories are her children, Bradley (Crystal) Iagulli, Ric (Dianne) Iagulli, Tammy (Greg Davis) Bruns; grandchildren Dustin and Leah Iagulli, Ashley and Phillip DiCristofaro , Nic and Shannon Iagulli, Kristi and Joe Solberg; ten great grandchildren, and Oscar the grand dog.

Services and interment will be private.
