Pamela Anne Kesmeyer

Pamela Anne Kesmeyer of Sylvania, Ohio, passed away at age 74 on March 5, 2022 at Kingston Care Center of Sylvania. Pam was attempting to recover from traumatic injuries after a fall sustained as a result of dementia.

Pam was born and raised in Mount Pleasant, Michigan where she attended Sacred Heart Academy and Central Michigan University. In addition to raising three children, she served as an Administrative Assistant over a forty-year career to many executives at Thompson Savings Bank, Key Bank, Dana Corporation and HCR Manor Care. She took great pride in her work, not retiring until the age of 72.

She was an avid reader, storyteller, and shopper. She enjoyed dancing with her husband Kenneth, whom she met and married at the Willows Supper Club in 1984. They were long-time members of the Devil’s Lake Yacht Club at Manitou Beach, Michigan where their summer home is located. She also loved to host dinner parties with her close friends both in their Sylvania home and at the lake.

Surviving besides her husband Kenneth Kesmeyer and their beloved Goldendoodle Lizzie, are her children: daughter Renee (Steve) Tomasello, daughter Tracey (Michael) Johnson, and son Rob (Heather) Krainik; grandchildren Gabrielle (Victor) Avila, Victoria Tomasello, Sophia Tomasello, Spencer Preuss, Griffin Preuss, Parker Preuss, and Clover Krainik; and great-grandchildren Mario Avila, Amelia Avila, and Isabel Avila. She was preceded in death by her parents, Monica Muth and Harold Pruden.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 10:00 am to 11:30 am on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Walker Funeral Home (5155 West Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43623). A Celebration of Life will immediately follow.

The family would like to thank all the special people at Kingston Care Center as well as Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the care they provided to her and to us. In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to be made in her memory to Hospice of Northwest Ohio (800 South Detroit Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43609).
