Otila Lopez Borjas

Otila “Tillie” Lopez Borjas, 74,  passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday January 18th, 2023. She was born on January 20th, 1948, to Antonio and Leonor F. Lopez. She was the oldest of eight children who helped her parents by caring for her younger siblings. She was a graduate of Genoa High School and married Reynaldo S. Borjas on October 28th, 1967, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Tillie was a dedicated home maker. She was very artistic and enjoyed painting on canvas and other art media. Other hobbies included baking and decorating cakes for special occasions, and photography. Tillie was a loving woman who was always concerned about the physical and emotional well being of her children. She missed her husband and son since their deaths. Spending time with her children and their families would always bring a warm smile to her face. She enjoyed her weekly visits to the Genoa Library looking up various recipes, shopping, camping, Disney World and the beaches in Florida.

Tillie was preceded in death by her husband Reynaldo S. Borjas, son Reynaldo Jr. Borjas, parents, mother-in-law Maria S. Borjas, and father-in-law Simon Borjas. She leaves behind Sandy (John) Bricker, Norma Carlozzi, Rolando and Ricardo; 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; siblings Estela (Esquiel) Escobar, Leonor Hernandez, Jose E.F.(Susana) Lopez, Aurora (Raul) Cardenas, Jorge A. (Vicky) Lopez, Juan David (Rosa) Lopez, and Jose Luis F. (Ana) Lopez. Tillie will be deeply missed and memories of her will be cherished forever.

The family will receive friends at Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, 501 West St. Genoa, Ohio on Thursday January 26th from 2:00-8:00PM with Recitation of the Rosary at 7:30pm. Visitation will also be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 204 Main St. Genoa, Ohio on Friday January 27th at 10:00am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Clay Township Cemetery.
