Ora Virginia (Yaest) Walker, 96, of Perrysburg, Ohio died Friday, January 19, 2018 at Kingston of Perrysburg. She was born in Duquesne, Pennsylvania on April 14, 1921 to Francis J. and Hazel A. (Hugan) Yaest. Ora honorably served in the US Army Nurse Corps during WWII, Stationed in India, Iran and Italy. She worked as a nurse for 60 years. Ora enjoyed life. She was a member of numerous organizations, was an avid bridge player and enjoyed golfing and traveling. Ora loved spending time with her family and friends. Ora married her next door neighbor, George W. Walker, on April 12, 1947 and together they raised their family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Richard) Modrzynski of Perrysburg, OH.; son, Dr. G. William (Debbie) Walker of Butler, PA.; grandchildren, Shannon (Brent) Kiger, Meghan (Ted) Greek, Molly (Kyle) Biedenbach, Ryan Walker and Ashley (Mike) Flanagan; great grandchildren, Kaylee, Evan, Walker, Colin and Wyatt; sister, Nancy Richey of Jefferson, PA.; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother-in-law, Duane Richey. There will be a memorial service for Ora at Lebanon Presbyterian Church, 2800 Old Elizabeth Rd., West Mifflin, PA. 15122 on February 3, 2018) at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lebanon Presbyterian Church, First Presbyterian Church, 200 E. Second St., Perrysburg, OH. 43551 or Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E.
